Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base

As my skincare routine is pretty basic I wanted to incorporate another step that can help my skin. I am only 19 so anti-ageing I believe isn't an option at this point and after logging onto the Bobbi Brown website I came across this vitamin enriching face base that I can apply just before moisturising or as a moisturiser.

It comes in a little pot like this which holds 50ml so you do get a lot of product. It smells divine and helps me to wake up in the morning, I apply it with my fingers and just rub it in, it's extremely smooth and melts into your skin.

This face base includes; Shea Butter, Carrot and Vitamins C & E. Vitamins C & E help to protect your skin against environmental damage which is a bonus because our skin is not cared for enough against the environment. This hasn't irritated my skin, but I have very easy skin to care for as I rarely have issues with spots at all. If you would like to see a face care routine comment below.

This retails at the price of £37.50 and you can buy it off the Bobbi Brown website here.

Benefit's Girl Meets Pearl Highlighter

This is my little sister Penny as you can see from the previous two posts on the Benefit Coralista blusher and Dallas bronzer she wanted to get involved on my blog so I used her for my model for this highlighter.

After Benefit's high beam this is my second favourite highlighter that Benefit does. This I would say is a little more bronzed than the High Beam as that has a lot more pink tones wear as this is the highlighter is between High Beam and Sun Beam.

Girl Meets Pearl comes in a twist up tube, this i think is a bonus as you won't overuse product like you could do with the High Beam and Sun Beam applicators. Overall I love this highlighter and it is perfect for mine and Penny's skin tone which is fair, however I did use this on holiday when I had a tan and it looked amazing so i'm sure it would look great on all skin tones.

Girl Meets Pearl is a little more expensive than High Beam and Sun Beam retailing at £24.50 whereas the High Beam and Sun Beam are only £19.50.  Here is the link where you can buy this from.

Clinique Chubby Stick

This is the Chubby Stick from Clinique in the shade Heaping Hazlenut, this shade look like a scary brown in the on the tube as shown above but when applied it's a lovely brown toned nude as you can see in the photo below.

This is lovely and moisturising. Unlike MAC's Hue; which picks up any dry skin on my lips. I use this when i don't necessarily want a sticky lip balm but would like to still keep my lips moisturised and a little colour at the same time. I would buy it again if it wasn't for the £17 price tag.

You can purchase this colour here

Let me know if you want more posts on lip products.

Clinique Chubby Stick

This is a lovely pretty pink chubby stick. Unlike my nude one this is nice for spring and summer and would just add a pop of colour to your lips. They are also intensively moisturising and are used as both a lip crayon and a lip balm. This colour is easy to apply and would still look great even if you were in a rush.

Here is where you can buy this Chubby Stick from.

I've done a previous posts on a chubby stick before which you can read here;

Avon Red Lipstick

I ordered this as it was in an offer that included a clutch bag, eyeshadow, eyeliner and mascara. It was a bargain deal as I absolutely love both the eyeshadow and this red lipstick. The packaging I feel doesn't look cheap and has held up for being bashed around in my bag.

Its a lovely rich red with blue undertones so it will make your teeth look whiter.

You don't need many applications at all, the only problem I have is that It does smudge quite easily so I suggest using a red lipliner and colouring all of your lip, apply the lipstick with a lip brush and then use a 1ply tissue and use translucent powder and dab it over your lips with the tissue on this should help seal it.

If you would like a video on how to make red lipstick last and not transfer then leave me a comment and I shall be happy to do this for you.

Benefit's Coralista Blusher

This is my little sister Penny she wanted to be included in my blog as she loves make-up, hair and nails stuff. She is modelling Benefit's Coralista blusher which is personanlly my favourite blusher of all time as you can see from the picture below it has been extremely well loved.

As you can tell by the name it is a Coral pink based blush that has little bits of iridescent gold glitter which makes this a lovely colour to wear in spring and summer. However I still wear it all year round as I love it.

If you are looking to start your benefit blusher collection I would look to buy this as it is extremely easy blush to apply and doesn't look garish whilst on. I JUST LOVE IT!

Coralista retails for £23.50 and you can buy it here.

MAC Lipstick in Hue

This is one of my favourite Mac Lipsticks, it's perfect for when you're on the go as you won't have to be careful when applying it, which helps when your in a rush- believe me.

As you can see in the picture above it's a lovely pink toned nude, i wear this and the Clinique Chubby in Heaping Hazelnut everyday really.

The only problem is that it does pick up on dry skin on your lips if they are extremely dry but other than that I absolutely love it.  Its in glaze finish. If you would like to see a dupe, then let me know in the comments :)

Here is a link where you can go to buy this lipstick, it costs £15.

Nude lipsticks are my favourite at the moment and I would love to try some new ones if you have any recommendations.

Jelly Pong Pong Lip Glosses

These are lip glosses from the brand Jelly Pong Pong. They come in the most adorable tubes that aren't that big but packaging and the lip glosses are lovely!

I first applied the lipgloss like this as the applicator isn't there and you have to squeeze it either onto your lips or onto your finger and then apply it like that, which isn't exactly the most hygienic way to apply it.

This is the the gloss rubbed on and evenly applied. This is the shade; 'Muffin' & smells divine. Which is out of the pink tube.

This is the shade 'Cherry Meringue' Which is a little darker than Muffin but I wouldn't exactly call it a dark lipgloss its just a pleasant pink.

This post is probably for the younger readers as I don't think its for people in the age range of 18 onwards, however if you do love little lip glosses that taste beautiful then Jelly Pong Pong is your place to go.

Wishlist #1

This is a bonus post as I usually post every other day but I just want everything at the moment and thought it would be nice to share it with you!

1. Can we just take a moment appreciate this gorgeous spring collection from Yves Saint Laurent! Normally I don't go for bright pink lips as i'm more of a nude/vampy kind of person- but this collection is STUNNING! & how good does Cara Delevingne look.

2. I've wanted so many items from Topshop, however i'm having trouble saving the photos in good quality so i'm going to leave links to a couple of pieces I wouldn't mind having.
Snake Coin Bag- I believe this would be a wardrobe staple. It's so different & I wouldn't have my boyfriend moaning about how I have so many bags the same. The price isn't bad at all either at just £20.
Embossed Check Crossbody Bag- I'm going bag crazy this week, I love my accessories and this is so different. It looks so casual but still eye-catching, I'd love to use this bag on a shopping trip with my friends as it isn't heavy at all. The price is steep for what it is at £40.

3. Again problems with getting a decent picture. I've been scouring the internet for a good gloppy fedora for the summer as I believe they can really make an outfit & i'm so happy to have found one that I love. It's called the Black Oversized Floppy Fedora

I ordered a couple of items off Topshop after the sales if you would like to see a haul comment here or like the post on Blog Lovin'.

Thanks

Benefit Dallas Bronzer

This is my little sister Penny, she is modelling Dallas that I have used as a contour. I don't neccessarily have many bronzers so I felt that I needed this in my collection especially as Benefit is my favourite make-up brand and has been for many years. I think its a lovely colour and isn't too dark, i feel you can use it as a natural contour or bronzer.

I am really happy with this bronzer as it is the right tone for both mine and Penny's faces' and we aren't exactly the most tanned of people. It doesn't have any glitter within it either so you can wear it as a natural bronzer or as a contour all over your face. Next time your at a Benefit counter have a look!

This retails for £23.50 and you can buy it here.

I've got many Benefit posts on the way so make sure that your subscribed to my blog then you won't miss them.

Haul (12/01/2014)

Having not been out the house in over a week, I was going stir crazy and my mum and sister thought it would be nice to take me shopping. I'm poorly at the moment (we'll get into that on another post if you'd like?). I felt it was quite a successful trip and picked up things that you guys may like an opinion on.

Let me know if you would like to see what I think of them.

Christmas & New Year sales! (Beauty)

This is the first year where I was stalking the sales on both clothes websites and make-up sites. Here are  a couple of items that I bought with Christmas money. I only bought a couple of items from Beauty Bay. As i've explained to you I fell ill and this means that I straggle to go on a proper shopping trips, i'm sure there are many other people in the same place. Enjoy.

URBAN DECAY- Black Market, 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil Set

This set is travel size of the 24/7 Glide-on Pencils, it includes 5 exclusive new shades. I think this set is great for a beginner in make-up. As i've only had the full size black 24/7 liner its great to test out different colours.

Here are swatches of each colour in order of how they are in the packet.
West, Desperation, Black Market, Riot, Apathy & Ink.

Desperation is an unusual colour its like a muted grey- great for a smokey eye!
Riot is a beautiful colour a lovely vibrant purple, the picture washes out how lovely this colour is, it also include iridescent bits of glitter, it doesn't irritate my eye.
Apathy, i'm not normally that much for green shades but this is a lovely khaki green and would look great for a different kind of smokey eye and will also make individuals who have brown eyes make their eye's pop!
Ink is also a lovely colour and contains bits of iridescent glitter that just add so much to the colour.

I'm extremely pleased with these colours, here is the link for where you can buy them. Their also good value for money as the whole pack is just £18.20.

Schwarzkopf OSIS- Dust it, Mattifying powder

This powder works as much as you back combing your hair, drop a light dusting of this powder at the roots and rub, this will give you a lot of volume.

I was unable to find this product from where I bought it from, sorry.

I have ordered a couple of items from topshop, if you would like to see what I got in the sales just leave me a comment. I'm still waiting for them to arrive.

BOBBI BROWN Caviar & Oyster Palette

From the left: White, Sandy Pearl, Pink Opal & Grey Sky
From the left: Plum Steel, Pearl Oyster, Heather Grey & Rich Caviar

I bought this palette a couple of few weeks ago and to say the least i was pretty let down at the pay off with these Bobbi Brown eyeshadows and Sparkle (which i thought was a highlight). It was way to expensive when it was on the website however, i took a trip to Cheshire Oaks with my boyfriend and spotted it there, at a discounted price of £45. The pictures I have placed above are of all the eyeshadows in the palette. To be fair some colours are better than others and I have learnt to work with them, however I wish i had read some reviews so I knew what I was buying. For the price of £45 and you get 8 'high end' eyeshadows you can't really go wrong I just really wish there was better pay off.

Thank you for reading
